KUALA LUMPUR – The much-anticipated IRIS Project at Taman Bukit Enstek (Enstek Heights) was officially inaugurated today, marking another milestone in the collaboration between the private sector and state government agencies. The project is a joint venture between New Times Development and Yayasan Negeri Sembilan, reflecting a shared commitment to sustainable housing development.
The ceremony was officiated by the Chief Minister of Negeri Sembilan, Honorable Aminuddin Harun, accompanied by prominent dignitaries including Mr. Wong, Executive Chairman; Dato Lau, Chief Executive Officer of New Times Development; Datuk Mohammad Zafir, State Secretary; and Dato Muhammad Nazri Kasim, Director of Yayasan Negeri Sembilan.
Comprising 145 single-storey Superlink homes measuring 22 by 70 feet, the IRIS Project introduces a modern and environmentally friendly concept designed to promote quality living. The freehold development features landscaped gardens, pedestrian-friendly walkways, and gated security, all set within green surroundings. Strategically located between Kuala Lumpur and Seremban, the site enjoys proximity to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and lies within the Malaysia Vision Valley (MVV) 2.0 development corridor.
Speaking at the launch, Chief Minister Aminuddin Harun emphasized that developments such as the IRIS Project contribute not only to providing comfortable and affordable homes but also to stimulating the local economy. “This initiative creates new employment opportunities, promotes green construction practices, and enhances business activities in surrounding communities,” he said.
Since 2018, the Negeri Sembilan state government has approved more than 33,000 affordable housing units, including through the Rumah Harapan Rakyat initiative, which offers interest-free loans to the B40 income group to build homes on their own land. This ongoing effort underscores the administration’s dedication to ensuring homeownership for all citizens.“The launch of the IRIS Project represents our continuous effort to foster public-private partnerships that drive inclusive growth. Together, we are building not just houses, but a harmonious and sustainable community,” added Aminuddin Harun.
The IRIS Project stands as a model for sustainable residential development in Negeri Sembilan, offering modern living within a thriving economic zone while advancing the vision of a prosperous and resilient state.
